While I was recovering from my abusive relationship and working at a self-esteem destroying job, I didn't have any sense of what I wanted for the future, nor any drive. I felt constantly attacked and annoyed that a girl at my job was under the impression that I had romantic feelings for her, and would change her mood and expression on a whim as I would around her. Same old song and dance. I knew struggling with depression would be a lifelong journey, but I never knew how it would feel like I never made any progress. I just sit in my room and write music and sort through dating apps.
